CEC is committed to creating a more resilient and just region in the face of climate change. Through our work with the Central Coast Climate Justice Network and elsewhere, our vision includes an end to racial injustices and their resulting environmental inequities.

When: October 21, 2011 at 6:00pm
Where: Historic Earl Warren Showgrounds Exhibit Hall

The Community Environmental Council’s annual Green Gala event is not only an important component of our annual funraising efforts, but the event itself seeks to educate and inform guests about the wide range of opportunities to lessen the environmental impact of their everyday lives.

This year, the Green Gala will feature a Gypsy Village – complete with fortune tellers, tarot card readers, and palm readers. The hors d’oeuvres will be made with locally sourced ingredients by the famous Full of Life Flatbread. After dinner and a brief auction, the talented Tina Schleiski and her band will rock the guests and gypsies alike!

We’ll be offering more details as the event nears. Make sure to mark of your calendar for this enchanted evening with the CEC.
